Technology Setup from the Ground Up, Security Architecture and Operational Continuity
I built the project's technology environment from the ground up, starting with operational requirements, and managed it end to end. I addressed software and hardware infrastructure, server systems, data centers and data center operations alongside enterprise systems, technology investments and license management.
I designed the network and firewall architecture and security infrastructure in conjunction with information security, data security and cybersecurity requirements, and led implementation processes. I positioned security as a core component of the technology infrastructure and daily operations.
For operational continuity, I planned backup, disaster recovery (DR) scenarios and the restoration of critical systems following an interruption. I evaluated infrastructure decisions against continuity, manageability and long-term scalability objectives.
RFID and Unique Product Labels
I integrated ERP, MES, RFID and unique product labels into the production traceability architecture. Unique labels related product records to data generated across production stages, quality, storage, transfers and shipment. I managed the architecture and integration processes that kept physical product movements connected to digital records.
Place Within the Overall Experience
I led architecture design, planning and implementation of technology infrastructure across multiple manufacturing facilities with a combined area of approximately 500,000 m², including livestock facilities. The approximately 120,000 m² integrated manufacturing facility is one concrete example of this experience. I brought enterprise applications, cybersecurity and OT/IT continuity together within a shared management approach. The 40,000-decare agricultural operation is a separate project; its agricultural land area is excluded from this combined facility area.
Project Scope
I designed and implemented the technology architecture of a approximately 120,000 m² integrated meat processing facility, starting from the construction phase and extending across production, warehousing, shipment, retail store operations and online sales channels.
I brought together enterprise infrastructure, manufacturing systems and operational technologies within a single architecture designed to support production continuity, traceability, security and long-term growth.
Approach
I treated technology as a core component of the operating model rather than a separate support layer.
The architecture was designed around manufacturing capacity, operational continuity, traceability, cybersecurity, performance and future growth, with technology decisions evaluated against their impact on the operation.
Bidirectional End-to-End Traceability
I designed and implemented bidirectional end-to-end traceability architectures, enabling products to be traced from raw materials through every production stage to the finished product, and in reverse from the finished product back to the original raw materials and production history.
The data chain begins with livestock operations and continues through livestock intake, quarantine, animal health and livestock management, slaughtering, quartering, cutting, processing, rework, rendering operations, quality control, cold storage, warehouse transfers and final shipment.
ERP, MES, RFID, unique identification, industrial weighing and IoT technologies were integrated so that physical product movements and digital production records remained connected throughout the operation.
Technology Architecture
I designed the technology layers to operate as a unified architecture supporting manufacturing, enterprise systems, security and business continuity.
Sustainability
The success of a technology architecture is measured by the value it continues to create after implementation, not only by its performance on the day it goes live.
I designed the environment to support production changes, capacity increases, new products and evolving operational requirements while maintaining resilience, manageability and continuity over the long term.
Project Scale & Outcomes
My Role & Responsibility
I held end-to-end responsibility for the technology side of the project. Starting from the construction phase, I defined technology requirements, designed the architecture, planned infrastructure and systems, managed integration with manufacturing processes and supported the operational continuity of the environment after go-live.
I coordinated technology teams, manufacturing units, business stakeholders and solution providers, bringing infrastructure, software, data, cybersecurity and manufacturing technologies together under a unified architectural approach.
The true success of a technology investment is measured by whether it continues to create value for the operation years after implementation.Back to Projects
